Temps libres
This book by artist Christian Aschman is both without title and without page sequence. The artist invited Stéphane Léger and Olivier Lamy to help design an “open space” based on his personal collection of photographs that spans twenty years of world travel. The collection reveals places that have become undefined in both time and space, through a filter that uses framing, selection, and synthesis. In his work, Christian Aschman tears himself away from the province of the existential, where the pace of globalization is exhausting the anecdote. By taking this shift as a starting point, he creates the possibility of coexistence beyond the figures that have been dictated by this exceptional speed, while being open to inexhaustible possibilities. – Christian Aschman
